Ofer Blutrich sa aktívne venuje preisťovaniu, robeniu nových ciest, údržbe a vzdelávaniu verejnosti v Izreali. Prednedávnom vymenil na najpopulárnejšom 7c v Oliane všetky erárne expresky za nové Black Diamondky. "Len pre pokoj duše. Už som sa na všetky tie nebezpečné expresky nemohol pozerať." Napriek tejto opatrnosti sa však nevyhol nehode. Po páde v ceste Gorilas en la niebla 8b+ sa priťahoval naspäť k expreske, keď si všimol, že nit bol povolený a držal len na poslednom závite. Keďže nebolo možné ho utiahnuť rukou, pokúsil sa doliezť k nasledujúcemu isteniu, z ktorého by bolo možné nit utiahnuť, no pri pokuse spadol a narazil od predskalia. "Bol som evakuovaný do nemocnice, no našťastie som si nič nezlomil, mám len rozťatý lakeť a pár modrín. Je možné, že sa počas posledných rokov viacerí lezci snažili nit utiahnuť ručne, no takéto riešenie je len dočasné a skôr či neskôr aj tak povolí. Lezec by mal vo svojej výbave mať fixné násady na uťahovanie veľkostí 17 a 19 a skrutkovač. Ofer ich má a nosí ich pod skaly. S Oferom zostaneme v kontakte a skúsime prísť na návod, akým by sa dalo podobnej nehode predísť v budúcnosti. "V tej situácii to bolo ťažké rozhodnutie. Ja som sa rozhodol skúsiť doliezť k ďalšiemu isteniu." Henning Wang sa pripája s názorom ohľadom celej situácie: "Súhlasím, že mať náradie na uťahovanie je dobré a ak ho lezec má pri sebe, podobným situáciám by sa malo dať vyvarovať. . V tomto prípade by však utiahnutie nitu nič nezmenilo. Ako to viem? Prednedávnom som cestu liezol a skúsil som chybný nit pritiahnuť. Problémom však je, že sa do povoleného nitu padalo príliš veľa, čo spôsobilo jeho pokrivenie a zdeformovanie. Jediným riešením je vymeniť ho. Skoré uzdravenie Ofer! Autor: Jens Larssen

Since our gym is small (some 200m2), we have to have holds everywhere. The rules were simple... Climb as many boulders as you can, no bonuses, no counting tries, just get a hold of that last hold! Share a beta, cheer for your friends and most of all, enjoy the climbing. The best 8 boys and 8 girls enter the evening finals. Throughout the years NLP was very well accepted in our climbing community due to its laid back nature, excellent boulders and final show, always a spectacle due to a DJ, light show and an energized vibe from the crowd. The climbers at the cliffs in Siurana last weekend came from many nations, and were a snapshot of what the world can be like, one of support, communication, and peace. Za posledné roky sme mohli sledovať, že sa ženské výkony ešte viac približujú tým mužským a u tínedžerov sa zdá, že chlapčenské a dievčenské výkony sú vyrovnané. Margo Hayes, Ashima Shiraishi, Janja Garnbret a Laura Rogora nastavili nové štandardy a ukázali tak, že lezenie je z hľadiska rovnosti pohlaví unikátnym športom. V boulderingu sú chalani stále napred, no v prípade juniorov narodených po roku 2000 je jednotkou Ashima Shiraishi. V dospeláckej kategórii to však tiež nie je úplne chlapská záležitosť, Oriane Bertone sa v rebríčkoch takisto umiestňuje na popredných miestach. Girl power!

Ofer Blutrich is the most active bolter in Israel and he also takes care of maintaining the bolts at the crag, rebolting and educating. Two days ago he took down all fixed gear on the most popular 7c in Oliana and replaced it with new Black Diamond quick draws. "Just for my peace of mind. I could not see all dangerous gear any more." Yesterday, Ofer took a fall on Gorilas en la niebla 8b+ and once he pulled up he saw that the hanger was loose, actually hanging on the last thread. As it was impossible to tighten the nut by hand he tried to reach the next bolt and then the hanger cut loose and he took a very hard fall, hitting the slab below. "I was evacuated to the hospital, and luckily didn't break anything just a cut in the elbow and painful bruises." Most probably, several climbers have during the last years tightened this loose hanger with their hands but this is just a short-term solution and sooner or later it will pop. Climbers should have a fixed 17 and 19 nut tool in their equipment and as a matter of a fact, Ofer always brings it to the crag. We will continue discussing with Ofer and try to come up with some advice on what to do if you end up in the same situation as Ofer. "It was a hard situation for decision making. I took the decision to try and reach the next bolt." Henning Wang comments on the situation with an explanation on the loose hanger. "I will agree that a nut tool is a good addition to the gear, and had someone used one the moment the nut started coming undone, that might have saved the bolt. In this case however a nut tool would change nothing. How do I know this? I did the route last week and tried to fix the nut with a nut tool last spring. The problem with the bolt in question is that it has taken too many falls with the hanger almost off resulting in bending and warping of the metal. The only solution to this bolt is to replace it with a new one. Hope you recover quickly Ofer!"

Filozofické zamyslenie Margo Hayes na Facebooku sprevádzané ďalšou parádnou fotkou Grega Mionskeho. "Som ohromená a poctená podporou, ktorú som dostala od lezeckej komunity, rodiny a priateľov blízkych aj vzdialených. Nikto z nás svoje ciele nedosahuje sám, robíme tak spoločne a staviame na tom, čo dokázali tí pred nami. Nie sme len komunitou, v ktorej jeden druhého podporujeme nehľadiac na to, odkiaľ pochádzame či v čom sme rozdielni, ale aj komunitou, ktorá si uvedomuje, ako dôležité je rešpektovať a chrániť našu planétu. V Siurane sa zišli lezci z mnohých krajín a ukázali, aký vie byť svet - plný podpory, komunikácie a mieru. Kudos @honngy-mu za prelez... @jon_cardwell si na rade! During many years, we have seen that females are getting closer to male performances and for teenagers it seems that the best girls and boys are nowadays at the same level. Margo Hayes, Ashima Shiraishi, Janja Garnbret and Laura Rogara have set new standards for the girls showing that rock climbing is an unique sport when it comes to gender equality. In bouldering the male teenagers are still ahead but among the teenagers born 2000 and later Ashima Shiraishi is #1. And for the non-teenagers, Oriane Bertone is also at the very top. Girl power!

Margo Hayes sa stala prvou ženou, čo pokorila hranicu 9a+ prelezom slávnej cesty La Rambla 9a+ v španielskej Siurane. Táto devätnásťročná američanka má na konte už jedno 9a a minulý rok vyhrala Majstrostvá sveta juniorov v obtiažnosti, boulderingu a dominovala aj v kombinovanom hodnotení. Foto (c) Matty Hong, ktorý cestu preliezol krátko pred Margo. Greg Mionske celý prelez natočil na video a hovorí, že nacvičovanie pred veľkým prelezom Margo zabralo sedem dní. V roku 2005 preliezla Josune Bereziartu Bibaluna 9a/+ a Ashima Shiraishi má na konte dve cesty, pri ktorých sa táto obtiažnosť spomína - Open Your Mind direct a Ciudad de Dios. Viac info čoskoro, no už teraz je jasné, že prelez Margo je veľký miľníkom v lezeckej histórii. Za zmienku stojí aj výkon Laury Rogory (15), ktorá preliezla svoje druhé 9a Joe-Cita v Oliane.
