The Boulder World Cup qualifications in Vienna was a great success for the organizers and nine out of the ten problems were topped out. The biggest sensation was that Jakob Schubert and Alexey Rubtsov, Tsukuru Hori, Klemen Becan and Sachi Amma did not make it through to the semifinal. Boulder WC in Vienna: Friday/Saturday

There are 131 athletes registered to compete in the Boulder World Cup in Vienna starting on Friday. Watch it live, qualifications starts Friday 10 am for the male and 7.15 pm for the female. Semifinal on Saturday at 10.30 am and finals at 6 pm for the female and 8.30 pm for the male. Adam Ondra, em viagem na Espanha, mandou a via Duele la realidad 2R, 11c em Oliana. "Caí no último movimento da primeira enfiada (11b) escalando à vista. Desci e mandei no dia seguinte, mandando à vista a segunda enfiada. Final frustrante para a viagem, falhei em realizar meu maior projeto, revelando o quão perto eu estava de encadenar essa via inteira à vista." Durante a viagem, Ondra realizou a primeira ascensão de Joe-cita, 11c, que é uma junção de duas vias, e mandou Airva Esa, 11b em Camarasa, "que poderia ser um 11c".
