Provisional Comp Calender for 2013

IFSC has put together a provisional competition calender for 2013. There are seven Boulder World Cups scheduled including four in Europe and one in China, USA, Canada. There are also seven events in Lead out of which five are in Europe and one in Russia and Korea. The Lead Euro Championship will take place in Chamonix in mid July and the Boulder Euro Championship will take place in The Netherlands. The World Youth Championship will take place in Canada in mid August. There will also be European Youth Championships but no Youth Cups are in the list. Anybody who knows why there will not be any Euro Youth Cups which has taken place since 1996?

Euro Youth Cup Linz

93: Manon Hily FRA - Domen Škofic SLO 95: Jessica Pilz AUT -Loic Timmermans BEL 97: Hannah Schubert AUT Georg Parma AUT Complete results As always, Austria was totally superior especially in the youngest categories. Almost half of the finalists were ranked based on who climbed the fastest. Most coaches seems to be strongly against this rule to not use count back from the quallification.
