Two 8a's by Joshua Ibbertson (10)

Joshua Ibbertson has done his second and third 8a, Sátiva Patática and El Guardia in Margalef. Video from El Guardia and the picture by his father James is from Sátiva Patática. - I’ve been climbing and training seriously since I was 8 years old but did bits for as long as I can remember before that. My parents are climbers so we’d go on climbing holidays. My favorite type of climbing is outdoor route climbing especially on rock with pockets or tufas so there are lots of options. I really enjoy trying to flash or on-sight routes and have flashed lots of routes up to 7b+ but now I’m really enjoying red pointing harder routes as well." Josh's father James says; "The most important thing is that Josh really loves climbing and continually gives me a lesson on how to try hard and not be deterred by failure.
