2023 8a.nu Climber of the Year

8a has published a โ€œClimber of the Yearโ€ list for the past 22 years. We base it upon the best information and reporting available, and we give extra credit to multi-disciplin climbers performing in both competitions and on the rock. We also take FAs, trad, multi-pitches, and DWS into consideration. Please feel free to add names or suggest changes to this very subjective list.

Ondra does something hard, again...

8c+ (9a) by Adam Ondra & Bock

Adam Ondra has done two 8c+'s in Frankenjura, Planets Collide and Matador which Markus Bock put up in 2007 and suggested 9a for. Adam says, "in my opinion more 8c+ than 9a, but others should feel free to say more about grade". He also did Showdown, 8c "Stiff grading from nineties, I was very lucky".โ€ฆ
