Search window disappears too quickly
Hi Mic,
agreed that there is (lots of) room for improvement on the search. We are working on the search at the moment, and this fix will be part of it. As soon as we can, we will deploy a first set of fixes.

Hi Mic, we ended up not doing two releases, because it took a bit longer to finish the UI and by the time we were done, we decided to improve the query right away. But now it's there, and we hope you and the other members like it. Besides the UI/UX being very different, the search now also accepts stuff like "Nose Yosemite", "Reve Buoux" or "Waldkopf Frankenjura". Let me know if you have any other suggestions on how to improve it.

When you search for something, as soon as the mouse cursor leaves the search popup, even for an instant, it will close the popup. This causes you to lose your search. When you search again, you have to type everything again.
It is very likely that this happens when you use two hands to type and then grab the mouse again. Of course you will move the mouse a bit, and it might touch a pixel outside the searchbox. When using a pen tablet like Wacom, this happens even more often, because the cursor is instantly wherever the pen is. Very annoying!
Solution: Keep the searchbox always visible, even when the cursor goes outside the box onto the black overlay. Only a click on the black overlay should close the searchbox.
