Also, the comments by each climber seem to cut words off at the end of each line. Surely it must be possible to make sure that if a word is due to finish before the end of each line that the complete word is pushed onto the next line, this must be a basic computer programme feature, although I am no IT expert!
Thanks for the insight and suggestion Ted. we can definitely look into some shortcuts for country selection and some useful defaults.
Also if i set a filter for a given country, style, etc. i get the latest ascents. If i clic on a route and then want to return to the list again, all the filters are gone and i have to set them again.
Good to see that you can now view the latest ascents from your country. Some suggestions are to bring back the country flags so you can simply click on the flag. This is far easier than going into a drop down menu every single day of your life and finding your country in a long list of other countries! The flags were one of the best bits of the old 8a.nu.
Also, please add a default option for boulders and routes like it was before so you can see at a glance all the latest boulders climbed in one list and all the latest routes climbed in another list. Having all the ascents grouped together by default in one list, both boulders and routes, is confusing and a step back from what it used to be. I don't want to have to select 'boulders only' or 'routes only' or have to select 'above 7C' or 'above 8a' every time I view the ascents, this is simply a waste of time. If you could click on a flag, it could take you to your country's page like before where you could see the list of boulders and separate routes list straight away. For countries with a stronger climbing population, you could make the default cut off say 7C to show up in the list or 7B for a country with fewer climbers, just like the old 8a.nu. If people want to look at the latest lower grade ascents, you could still make this possible but make it something you have to select - it is not the best option in my opinion to see every single ascent logged regardless of grade as the default. I hope these suggestions help, great to see the by country ascents back in general.
