Date format preference

Is it possible to have a setting to specify the date format?

I think US style MM-DD-YYYY should be deleted from the Universe, together with any non-SI metrics...

I am a big fan of YYYY-MM-DD, but also the European one is acceptable since it is much more logical than the US one (or maybe it's just my logic which is different ;)

Thanks a lot for the new website, which I like a lot!
