A possibility for sharing beta
I like the idea of not showing Beta comments straight away. I have pretty strong ethics and for me it's clearly no onsight when reading comments like these. There is nothing wrong about a Flash but maybe people just want to onsight routes. I think there are many "onsights" where people have read comments and comments on various websites and I think this is a problem.
There will always be "helpful" information in the comments. I think the solution is pretty easy and straight-forward: If you plan to onsight a route, you don't look it up on 8a.nu ;-)

In the ascents list of a route there is a column "Comment" which sometimes is used for sharing beta. On one hand this is helpful, if you are looking for help to solve a route. On the other hand those informations are visible straight away and therefore is suboptimal for people how are going for Onsights.
One solution for this could be a new column called "Beta", which would be solely intended for sharing beta. On page load the column "Beta" should be hidden, but could be made visible, if you want to see those informations.
For cases where there is no beta at all, it would also be nice if you could contact someone who already has sent the route - to discuss beta in a private message.
