A route that consists og 3 boulderproblems/sequences easy>6C>6C+>6C+>easy No decent rest between the problems just clipping and chalking holds. What grade would you propose?
The easiest way to propose a grade is to compare how long time you had to invest to do it with other routes you have done. Did you invest more time than ever, it might be a personal best grade etc. Based on the boulder grades you have proposed, which of course not might be correct based on what other climbers think, I would theoretically say 7c. If it is route grades you have mentioned, I would say 7a+.
It is bouldergrades. The reason I ask is that this will be my fastest accent of this grade. I think the boulders grades are pretty accurate. In general it feels the same as another 7c I just did on my first redpint atempt, after working it 3 sessions last spring. I'll tick is as 7c and wait for more ascents... and let time tell...
Bumping.. for another route. A route with theese sequenses: A) 7B to 7C to rest to sustained 7c ? or B) 7B to 7B+ to rest to sustained 7c ? Not sure about the second crux as I havent done it yet. The first I'm pretty sure of as I have done the moves, but not linked it yet.
man, you cannot ask someone here... you have to bring a strong guy to try the route... and how many moves are each boulder you're saying? i think the route is 7b+ , it could be, because the boulders are V5 ... so that's the norm i know
Haha. Yes no way is that even remotely close to a 7c+ route if it has a 7B and a 7B+/7C bloc in it! The final section of 7c route climbing makes little difference to the grade if you can climb the extremely difficult bottom section. I would grade that route around 8b based off that info. The first route I would think about 7c is appropriate.
we cannot really know the grades sitting here in front of our computers. there's the endurance factor...to be considered. like a 40 meters route would give more pump then a 20 meters one.. when i said 7b+ it was the minimum grade possible.. and for the other route you're saying with a 7C bloc and a 7B... i think it should be at least an 8a+, unless you missed the grades of the boulders.
