Would you rent crash pads peer-to-peer?

Hey all! My friend Grant and I like to travel, but often have trouble renting pads - the good climbing hours are outside shop hours, or we can't reserve in advance, or they're all rented out. We had this idea that climbers could rent pads to one another through an online marketplace. Would you use this? Is it crazy?
