I'm going one month to Iran in october. How about the sport climbing there? Does someone know if there are bolted rocks and wich are the good climbing areas to go to?? I'm looking forward to check them out! Sofie
iยดve been to iran a few years ago and made it to some gyms in esfahan. The scene is not very big but friendly. Well the situation changes fast and i donยดt know how it is right now. The iran scene once was active on rockclimbing.com and itยดs best to contact artimes as he is the legend in teheran. Get a rockclimbing.com account and search for partners in iran. Send artimes a message. he will most likely resond and you could meet in his bouldergym. Iran could be bomber as they have tons of rock and even cold climate in winter. but they got other problems to solve first...
or try contacting the guys who added some fotos on the one crag listed in iran (see the google map). The message will be forwarded to their email and they will most likely read it.
