Hi!
I'm going to travel to Brazil in August and I'd appreciate any tip/advice you could give me.
I'll arrive to Rio de Janeiro at the begining of August and will stay there for almost the whole month, so I hope I'll have enough time to climb in Rio and Serra do Cipo, besides of visiting that beautiful country's cities, beaches and enjoying its culture.
It'd be nice if any Brazilian would like to tight to the other end of my rope, since I'm traveling alone.

Voy para 23 dรญas. Desafortunadamente Brasil es tan grande que no podrรฉ conocerlo todo. Me estoy volviendo loco porque me encantarรญa viajar por todo el paรญs, pero 23 dรญas son muy pocos... Tendrรฉ que volver otra vez porque seguro que me encanta...
Tenรญa pensado escalar en Rio y en Serra do Cipo, pero si decido viajar mรกs al sur, por tus tierras, te lo harรฉ saber.

lugar para hacer um post y decir de donde sos.... que quieres hacer... no hay

I've been to Cipรณ and Sitio do Rod in April. For Cipรณ/sector 3 or the new sector Foda you need someone who can show the way, it's in the middle of the forrest. I wasn't able to get a topo in Cipรณ, but I got one at the Camping of Sitio do Rod. Both places are around Belo Horizonte. Nice trip

One question: do I need to bring the helmet for climbing the Sugar Loaf?

The helmet always makes the climb safer, but i never use it at sugar loaf.
