I find it somewhat annoying that when I pick a tick list for a crag, I see the same route several times in the list. This is, I presume, because people have given the route different grades. For ticklist use, and for overall ranking also, I would find the bleau.info system of averaging the grade much better and that would probably fix this problem also. I hope we will see this in the future!
Thanks...it is high up on our prio list. The problem is of course that over time some problems are "officially" down graded which make it difficult to calculate averages. What 10 years ago was considered an 8B is today often considered 8A+. Further more, routes may change and this sometimes change the grade completely. We would not run grading into a scientific science. It is complicated already. But, somehow we hope to improve the data base on this issue.
