Could anyone that has been to Ticino sugest good accomodation near either Chironico or Cresciano? And perhaps you'd also know where to find a topo?... Would be really kind!! Thanks!
Arh the Topo is is sometimes in the pizzeria in Cresiano, but is often sold out. Best bet is to pick up the two topo's from bellinzona. Its for sale in the information center which is open 9-5 or something like that next to the central castle about 35 CHF each.
You can also try www.pizbube.ch. It's a Switzerland based (online) bookstore that sells climbing literature, i.e. also both the boulder topos to Cresciano and Chironico. For climbing, the SAC guidebook Ticino is the best choice. AFAIK Pizbube also ships abroad.
There is a nice campside in claro. www.alcenso.ch There is also a possibility to sleep in straw it is called "straw and breakfast" on the farm "la finca" in cresciano. Thats the two I know. The topos you can get on www.crescianoboulder.ch and I think on this site are also some addresses where you can get them on site.
Thanks for your answers! They were helpful! Though in retrospect, I can really not recommend the La Finca "sleeping on straw" hostel to anyone. It was kinda crap. Well, just so anyone else nows, you'd probably be better of at the campsite of Claro. Or the hotel in Cresciano or Biasca... But nice bouldering though!!
