tell me if i am allowed to do this in a Dyno Competition

youtube in this video he steps on that hand hold... is this legal?

don't see why not. I've seen it in local comps too. he uses the correct starting holds and position so why not... :)
It's a Dynamic Move competition. Not a high jump competition. In my eyes, you have a given set of holds and features. Start here, finish here. The means to reach the end are irrelavent as long as you do not use any artificial aid. What if someone was freakishly tall and could static that? Loophole in the rule book =P Thinking outside the box is one of the things that makes climbing such an intriguing sport.
there was some debate about this before, and covered in the rules for this specific dyno. read those, and you'll have your answer. just because I forgot what the answer was, I did some google-fu. here is the result: Any configuration of footholds can be used but feet must not touch the starting handholds. from: https://www.planetfear.com/news/Guinness_World_Record_Dyno_Competition_1865.html for other dynos, it depends on the comp and the judges.
