Summerseason in thailand?

I'm planning a climbingtrip in Thailand this summer, but I read on several sites that winter is the best time for climbing in Thailand (i.g. Ton Sai & Raley). I'm looking for first hand information on the climate-situation for climbing in july/august. Is it ok or way to hot/moisty?

It should be OK for climbing but it is definitely not the best season. It rains during the day, not all day but often, the rock especially at Ton Sai is often black and humid. And finally if you go there alone there are not many climbers. But everything is so cheap at this period of the year...
