Hi everyone! Me and my boyfriend are going to Japan for the month of October, it's going to be our first time and we're very excited! Mainly we would like to explore the country, but we definitely want to climb as well!
We are having trouble finding reliable resources to plan our trip. Our level is around 7b-8a+ (5.12b-5.13c), we only sport-climb (we can consider bouldering, but we would need to rent a pad), we prefer overhangs (I hate slabs%) ). The area should ideally be well-reachable via public transport from Tokyo or Osaka.
So, any tips at all on resources about climbing outside in Japan? Areas with grades, type of climbing, seasonality, how to reach it, where to stay? Personal experiences? Any tips at all would be greatly appreciated!!!
