Might be a silly question, but I'm not very into climbing english.
OnSight means: you lead a route, without having seen anyone doing it, so no idea how the route is
Flash means: you lead a route, but already seen someone doing it
RedPoint is: you see it, you try it, you fall, but then, after a few times you try it, you complete it.
Does anyone of the 3 allow resting at bolts and so on?
TopRope, of course, means, with the rope from the top, not leading.
I mean, you go up, leave the quickdraws clipped on the protections on the cliff.
Then you climb the cliff again, leading, but without placing the qd on the wall, just clipping the rope on the already placed qds
Pre-placed gear is OK in sport, however in trad climbing the ethics say that you should place the gear by yourself.
When you were onsighting in the old days, you were supposed to place the quick-draws yourself.
