Momentum Youth Team, based at Momentum Indoor Climbing in Sandy, Utah is now interviewing for the position of team coach. Job specifications: Supervise team practices of kids ranging in age from 8- 18 on afternoons and weekends. A ttend and coach at ten USAC competitions per year and maintain USAC coaching certification. Create, and adapt if necessary, training macrocycles for ABS and SCS seasons for kids of disparate ability. Isolate weaknesses in individual climbers and help them improve. Provide leadership and engender a sense of team amongst participating climbers. Experience and qualifications: 12 years rock climbing experience minimum. Climbs or has climbed 5.13 at multiple rock venues and indoors. 3 years USAC coaching experience minimum (provide references). Experience at National events. Must be an excellent technical coach with the ability to also mentor and motivate young climbers. Must pass a background check.
