Hi, We're planning a trip to Oltre Finale and just bought the guide book. But then we found some information about bad bolts in the area. http://news.climbing.de/warnung-unsichere-bohrhaken-in-albenga/ How big is the problem, are many crags concerned? Is it advised not to go there at all? We would very much appreciate some input. /Emil
I climbed in Albenga one year ago and I did not clip any bad bolts. On some smaller crags I saw some bad bolts but if you go by the 8a Tick List, I am sure you will avoid most of the bad ones. Albenga is nice...I recommend it but pretty stiff grades :-)
