Looking for Paradise...Bringing destruction?

Hi everyone... Iยดm currently working on an idea that might become a university project later on...the topic is related to the assumption that there is a drive in us to look for paradise. Paradise however is something that cannot be found, as we will always change places once weยดve found them and thus we`ll always take what made them so attracting in the first place and twist it...this is a thesis...do you feel the same? How can we behave as climbers who constantly look for wonderful places to climb in if we don`t want to destroy those places? Have you ever felt that a place you`ve visited like 10 years ago when it was a secret spot is now ruined by the rush caused by media coverage etc.? Do you feel like I feel, namely that there is a tendency to market the idea of a place being paradise which unfortunately often ruins the place subsequently? Iยดld be glad to get as many opinions as possible and from as many places as possible. Hoping to get answers, Chris

For me the nicest thing is to find a paradise and then invite friends who can share the experience. Climbers could be role models in how we should act in order to keep the paradise alive. That would be a more fun topic.
That`s how I feel, too. But the fact that a growing number of climbers (and tourists) in general often means that a place is getting destroyed by left trash, infrastructure build to deal with the masses coming can`t be denied. Even climbers who should really love nature (if not, there is no reason to leave the gym...) too often leave stubs, cans, the cookie packaging, empty bottles of liquid chalk-just out of laziness I think but trash seems to have a magic attraction to look for friends...all of the above I have seen in places frequented to 90% by climbers only...what I really think is that we need a change in mind...our attidude should be less consuming but more respecting.
