Improvements of the wc boulder format

Check our suggestions for improvements of the Rules & Regulations. What do you think?
These are very good suggestions. The proposed format is very similar to the PCA or ABS format here in the US. We have bonus points for flashing, so there is incentive to flash, plus you get a longer rest before the next problem. The format is very spectator friendly, so the crowds are entertained and the event sponsors are happy. PS: Maybe give a couple extra points for a 2go: but not 3 or more attempts. ;-)
Is there a real need of giving bonus points ? The more rest you have for next boulder isn't enough for a reward ? Bonus points make it more complicated to count, and don't motivate climbers to make many tries.
The rest is "icing on the cake". From what I have seen with the flash bonus points, it makes the comp more exciting because the climber will "try a little harder" on the first attempt to get the bonus points. Keeping the comp short is good. Here, the climber gets five minutes per problem and five minutes rest between problems. Usually there are four problems. The action is pretty steady with the women and men running simultaneously - eight climbers on the wall at once. The idea here is to have the best two qualifying climbers, male and female, end the competition with a "grand finale" where both send the final (hardest?) problem. The crowd is often allowed to press in closer to the final problem. When it works, it makes for an exciting finish to the competition.
