Hello, I'm looking for a small support, from people who live in Barcelona. Does someone from Barcelona knows grocery shop, that is open until late hours ? I'll be landing on El Prat airport on Saturday, so it would be really nice to find a shop and thanks to that, survive Sunday in Margalef :). I will be really thankful for support even on prv. Hi Adam, I live in Barcelona. I have no idea if you were already aware of it but, "El Prat" Airport is not in Barcelona itself but actually in 'El Prat del Llobregat' village; really close to Barcelona. So, first of all, I take it you'll need transportation from the airport to Barcelona: given the time of your arrival, I'd suggest bus. If you have already planned to rent a car (which i strongly advice to get to margalef) we got this covered. Then, once you are in Barcelona, I'd say the easiest thing 'd be to look for a, how we call them, 'Paki shop'. They are little shops mainly run by people from arabic countries; they stay open even til 2 or 3 am.
Hi Uree,I 've always been thinking, that EL Prat is a district of Barcelona - my mistake ;). Many Thanks for tips. Of course I have rent a car . So the best way to find those "Paki shops" is to drive into the city center and ask people for direction?
If that's all you are after in Barcelona, I'd say don't bother getting into the city. In the Margalef-refuge, Jordi made me excellent cheap food when I was there.
