gallery; resampled photos and blurry photos

i wonder why the gallery upload is so strange. if i upload a jpeg photo of 576x768 pixels and 212kb, it is automatically resampled to another jpeg photo of 576x768 pixels and 360kb! it's not only annoying to wait for the photos to appear when you click on them - you also have less space on your servers if all photos are resampled in this way... i don't really see why this resampling is done. in addition, when i click on the photo in the gallery it is shown in 99% scale, so that everything appears fuzzy/blurred. by right-clicking on the photo and selecting "view image" (so that all text above and under the photo disappears, only the photo is showing in 100%) i can see the photos more clear. this is a web programming bug you could fix easily. good luck.
