I just saw the movie "First Ascent". Great movie, but now I ask myself what happened to Didier Berthold. Did he recover? Is he still climbing?

rumor has it that Didier is walking around in himalaya playing a gigantic tuba to develop his respiratory system, and is gonna live on top of mt. everest for 1 year doing yoga and eating mushrooms.
It says on Wikipedia that he has given up on climbing. I can't find any other sources on this, but it says "...for now Didier has given up climbing. He converted to christianity and is currently living his christian faifth full time by Eucharistein Fraternity, Switzerland."
