When making all of these polls on the 8a forum why not have a cross comparison so see how climbing is improved through focusing on specifics. For example, the current poll: Indicating 3 areas that you feel are your strongest. You should be able to highlight your 3 main strengths but also indicate the level of climbing you are at. It may seem that people climbing at higher levels tend to be good in specific areas, eg. technique, power endurance and mental strength. This would enable people looking to improve their standard of climbing to see the areas that tend to be most important when climbing harder problems. Current polls are good, but with cross comparisons encorporating grades and standards of climbing, I believe results would be a whole lot more interesting.
Do you have any kind of contract with them? Otherwise I'm sure you could find something better than allows more flexibility with survey results... SurveyMonkey for example...?
SurveyMonkey allows you to cross-compare results, its been pretty good in my experience and my university recommends it for survey research. Its free for basic use, but to cross-compare data you have to pay a price. Its no more than $20 a month, and probably less on longer contracts. It'll make polls a whole lot interesting for sure! Check it out, www.surveymonkey.com
