I was thinking about going to climb over Sardinia this Summer in August. Is it a good idea in this season? Would be someone so kind to give me some information? Thanks in advance!
Hi, sardegna is a wonderful place to climb with lots of diversity and spots all over the island. I would however not recommend to go there in August, since it gets very, very hot during the summermonths. The end of September/ beginning of October would be much better for climbing and still allows for swimming the sea. To find out some more details, check out sardiniaclimb.com Good luck! Alexander
Hi, in August It's really hot, so You have to choose very well were to climb and when to climb in the day!! But we climb all the year ;-) So It' very hard/hot in Isili but wonderful in Jerzu, You can find a lot of areas in Domusnovas, for example "Tana delle Tigri" a great cave; Masua or Baunei in the afternoon.... Write me if you want more info for plan your holidays. Sorry for my bad English Davide from Sardinia.
Hola Nacho! I am planning to go to Sardinia in august too! I have never been climbing there, but I know the island a bit and have a very nice climbing guidebook to show you ("Pietra di Luna" by Maurizio Oviglia) where you can find also information about the best season to go to each area. Still, it's very hot in the summer, so the question is: is it possible to do any psicobloc in Sardinia??? Let's talk Laura
