Can anyone tell me about conditions of climbing at last autumn in North Italy esp Finale Ligure & Muzzerone? Temperature, routes, accommodation, food and generally partners!
last year i was in finale ligure and Oltre finale - the last is a great place but small sections. i believe we had 4-5 days/nights with rain in the 2 weeks we were there. Nice food - pizza's and pasta.... it's Italy :-) we had 25-35 celcius and maybe 18.22 at night time. Mostly it only rained at night - only on day( as i remember) was blown totally because of rain. the night rain - did'nt ruin the day - the rocks where dry at 10 am app.
there is a free camping spot at finale ligure- north of the city and 100m from the rock! and in Oltre finale you can camp on the church parking lot - many park the cars here and cook and sleep under the car park-roof. there (were) is also a coldwatter shower booth at this lot!!! and a zink. we meet a lot of mountenbikers too, from swizz and germany mainly.
Be careful in oltrefinale/albenga. Apparantly a lot of the bolts are unreliable because a wrong type of glue was used. source: http://news.climbing.de/warnung-unsichere-bohrhaken-in-albenga/
