I'm wondering, if there are any other climbers among you who have also a handicap. On my right hand there is my index-finger missing and i'm still climbing.
Are there any famous climbers (climbing hard) with handicaps?
It is allways intresting for me to see how they deal with it compared to how i deal with it...
About 6 years ago (sorry) I met in Thailand a guy named Dan, he was from Canada and had just three fingers on his left or right hand, cannot remembrer which one. He was doing very well, 7b and trying 7b+.
Hi,
I can,t say that I am very famous or climb hard stuff but on the other hand I have an artificial leg...
Since I started to climb 8 years after my accident I have nothing to compare with...Some people are short, some long, some miss an index finger and I have one leg...nothing to do about it. The good thing about climbing is that you adjust the level after your ability and take it from there.
Keep on climbing folks...
I once saw this german kid that was missing an arm, i though he wasn't there for climbing just hanging on with his friends but some friends of mine also saw him at Frankenjura weeks later and he would climb routes around 7b/+ by putting what he had left of the arm inside the pockets, and no top-roping, he would even clip bolts!!!really amazing!!
