This is a plea to all climbers considering a climbing holiday. I am the English owner of a resort in Ton Sai beach. I won't advertise my resort here as I do not think it is appropriate. This is a desperate plea to all climbers out there as Ton Sai needs your help. This year I have watched several business and local Thai people here go out of business, lose their house, lose their self respect because tourism since May has been non-existent. We are now getting into high-season, but even now tourism is down. The businesses that remain have placed all bets in the high season that should be starting around this time and I am in serious worry that these remaining people are going to go bust also as tourism is more and more delayed. I understand that a world recession is taking place but to all the climbers out there considering a vacation, please save one of the best places in the world to go climbing and indeed just for a vacation, Ton Sai beach. Flights are cheap, accommodation is cheap, PLEASE come here either now for high season or in low season May-September.

and i dont think this is all bad.. to much building in thailand, it has to stop sometime. Or they`ll totally destroy the place.
just look at koh tao.. like 1 mill dive resorts in 5 years or something.?
has Rain and (sub)Zero got a new coffee shop yet by the way?..
