Bleau

I am planning a trip to Bleau next year but I've heard that to be able to climb anything hard you are forced to used "poff" Is this true or are there problems that were opened without that shit and are still unspoilt. Take into consideration that I am a Rocklands (SA) local and know nothing of the ethics or practices of French climbers.
You don't need it, i climbed at my max without it. My partner who climbs way harder than me climbed his max also (7C). You definately focus more on your foot work...Take a towel and spit shine your shoes....
Respect local ethics...many bleausards feel that chalk is far more damaging to sandstone than pof (there a bit about this on bleau.info). So if you're concerned about leaving problems unspoilt, maybe leave the chalk at home too.
