Best time for Rodellar/Info

Hello, psyched by pics and news from Rodellar Iยดve decided that I really wanna see this place. When would you advise me to go, my semester holidays being from February-Mid April and August-Mid October? I would also like to have a flat/appartement/ something like a gite in France...is there any address you can recommend? We`re probably gonna be around 5 people. How expensive is living, aka buying food/gas etc? I know I could google the whole thing but one local`s advice is better than a lot of internet crap I think... Chris
I think  summer time is the best, probably  february and March  you can spend a good  time in Siurana and then when the  weather is too hot go to Rodellar.

You can climb in Rodellar during the whole year. Okay, december and januray can bi a bit chilly, but friction is superb. The rest of the year Rodellar is paradise. Summer is always a bit hot but very climbable and autum is absolutely best, during september to november. As Jens says some tufas will be humid if rain is persistent (more than two weeks). I would recoment Camping Mascun which is closest to the climbing sectors. There are sectors facing sun any time of the day sรฅ you'll always have a choice. There is no mobile telefon signal and no flats to rent (huts in the camping). You'll need a car as youll find little variation in food items in the campin store. The best spot to buy groceries is Huesca (55 km) Almost every route is top score, but there are some outstanding ones Here are some excelent routes All grade 7 routes in sector El Camino. Monica 7b Pequeรฑo pablo 7b Dogmatofobia 7b+ Soldados de salamina 7b+ Reflejada en tu mirada... 7b+ La cena de Isidoro 7b+ (Extension 7c) Egocentrismo 7c (chipped) Nanuk 7c Maldito orgullo 7c L'any que ve tambe 7c Maldita codicia 7c+ Les vielles glories 7c+ Akelarre 7c+ Made in Mascun 7c+ El delfin 7c+ La vara de florentino 7c+ El Sepes 7c+ Argo 8a El corredor de la muerte 8a Gracias Fina 8a Coliseum 8a Acravita 8a Gladiator 8a I havent tryed more but I'm sure youll find incredibly nice routes, just ask someone while there. Youll fing the best of articles about Rodellar in Cllimbing issue 261 (current issue) with exactly all info you need. Also visit Alquezar, a very pituresque village and climbing spot. Riglos (70km from Rodellar) is also a very nice climbing spot. Try also Canyoning and hiking in rest days, the sourroundings are just wonderful. Good luck!
Thanks for all the info...its actually cool that September is best, that doesn`t interfere with my Tarn trip during Easter Holiday:) Muchas Gracias, Chris
