Accomodation in Thailand

Hey does anyone have any info on really cheap bungalows to stay in Railay (or Tonsai) for the month of December? We really dont care if they are nice as we have been bush camping for 8 months now, just inexpensive as we will be at the end of a 1 year trip and 1200B is expensive for us to pay each night for a whole month. Any Tips would be MUCH appreciated! Cheers, Lisa

Hi Lisa wanting to spend as little as as possible and still stay at Tonsai don't give you many options the numbers below are phone numbers bungalows a bit back from the beach. 075-621571 country side resort 09-2900269 Forest resort 075-637979 tiew kao resort 01-7884858 sai thong bungalows there are about 10 more places in tonsai but they will be more exspensive, forget Railey , even off season it will be minimum 500 bth per night. If you are willing to spend that much - try Railey view point resort 075-621686 Do try to get hold of We & Elkes guide Rock climbing in thailand - there is plenty of good info there ( the just released 2009 version will be on sale in the 8a webshop) And.. be careful about the food in Tonsai - I have treated enough people over the years from the runs - spending a week in the toilet just doesn't cut it good climbing Bjรถrn

tonsai is`nt that big. Just walk around asking what they can offer. i stayd at jungle hut..basic bongalows for around 300-200 pr. night. Its the second one when you walk the road up to the left. no problem getting something under 1200. i like jungle hut becouls its like a road of bungalows and you have the jungle on the other side a bit up.. so its quiet av peaceful.. but whatch out for the monkeys.. the come around about ones a week and look for food... so if there`s any in the bugalow you are in for a suprise:) and they dont care if your say go away.. the manager is very good at dealing with them do.. but just look around and find the cheapest.. would take about 20 min to walk around. and i dont know anything about bad food.. stayed there for 2,5 months and never got sick.. ones dow.. but that was after 10 big chang, (some other organic ยจfoodยจ) and 3 banana pancakes.. sooo.. je...
Awesome, thanks guys, prob we will book something for the first few days then walk around and see if we can get anything cheaper after! and i have heard about the food and monkeys, will watch out for both! Cheers Lisa
