If we are talking 7b+ route climbing on top of an 8A boulder, I would suggest 8b. For me an 8A boulder is the same as an 8b route and in order to add difficulty to reach 8b+ I would say that the added route sequence must be at least 7c+ to reach 8b+ in total.
