Tendon Injury from blowing off of a hold?

Today, while climbing, I was pulling off of a pinch with my left hand. Through the movement my hand ended up blowing off of the hold quite forcefully. Immediately after falling I noticed a sharp pain in my palm and in my forearm. I'm still noticing some tenderness now in my palm and the pain in the forearm seems to be isolated to the top. There is no more pain in my arm. Does this sound like a serious injury, or maybe just something that I weeks rest will make better?
Logan go and consult a doctor or at least a physio, this is really not the place to diagnose your problems. Its simply impossible over the internet! It sounds like youve strained something, but you really need to seek medical advice in person. Injuries will seldom heal in just one week. Go see the Doc and make sure its totally healed and strong before cranking again, otherwise this simple acute injury will become something a lot uglier and chronic. Rather a few weeks of healing and rehabilitation than a life time full of pain!!
Hi logan Like grigri says This is most likely a pull or strain of a flexor tendon. asap consult a sports medicine specialist or handsurgeon - a delay could cuse you to lose valuable time rehabilitating the best way possible Björn
As per above - Im speaking from experince but its a very sobering throught when the Doc/Physio start talking about perminate damage to your tendon. If you do have a tendon injury, Id suggest seeing a reputable acupunturist to help (speaking from experince here also)
