swollen palm after crimping

Yesterday while trying my project i hit a bad crimp open handed and then reeled it into a closed crimp. I only got a few moves further before falling and realized then that there was a mild pain at the base of my two middle fingers and into my palm. It felt like a soreness I had felt before from over climbing or climbing many days on in the past. I rested for around an hour and felt the slight pain had dissipated and decided to climb unless I felt any pain. The majority of the climb was closed crimps and I ended up climbing through the entire route. Though I felt no immediate pain while climbing I was sure I was probably doing some damage to the hand. After I lowered the pain in the base of the knuckles and the palm was heightened. I immediately took IBprophen and stayed off it the rest of the day. This morning the right side of my palm is noticeably swollen and the there is pain in the palm when I attempt to make a fist and when I stretch open my hand. It feels like I have strained the tendons from aggressively closing in the bad crimp. There is really no pain in the fingers, just the palm. Does anyone have any experience with this?
Hi Colette Really hard from this description - it seems like a strain in the tendon sheat that the flexor tendons that run into entering the palm. If the pain and swelling persist after a week of layoff and medicating with Ibuprofen I would recomend you to see a hand specialist as this i a very sensitive area in the hand If it seems to heal - follow the adwise on tendon injuries on this forum and in the Dr8a manual Best of luck Björn
