Surgery or Not? (Shoulder)

Hiya - So, here's the quick background. I'm 26 years old and have been climbing for about 10 years. Right now I'm climbing in the 7c+/8a range and not really bouldering, aside from in the gym as training and as a routesetter (I've worked as a climbing coach for about the past 6 years as well). When I was 21, I tore my labrum in my left shoulder seriously enough that it was causing pain with day to day activity. I had surgery to correct the torn labrum, and had no rotator cuff damage at the time. A year and a half later, I started having pain after slipping off a move and trying to stay on one-armed, and tore my infraspinatus tendon. I had surgery to repair that two years ago, and have since been climbing regularly with minimal pain. I recently had an MRI to close out the insurance claim on the previous surgery, and it showed a re-tear of the same repair. The surgeon wants to fix it again, and potentially patch it down. I'm not experiencing much pain, but I definitely have marked weakness is external rotation to my side compared to my right shoulder (but external rotation at shoulder height is strong). I'm on the fence about getting this fixed again; I can still climb in the 8a range without pain, but there are definitely some moves I avoid. I know recurrent surgeries have a lower success rate as well . . . but would not want to see my shoulder function disappear severely in 10 years because I didn't get it fixed now, y'know? Any advice (or other people's experiences) appreciated.
