ring finger tendon pain

Hi! five weeks ago I damaged what seems to be the tendon for my left ring finger. It was a shallow two finger pocket on a steep wall where almost all my weight rested on the ring- and long finger in the left hand. It felt like if something "popped" in the wrist. Since then I´ve had a fairly strong pain in the wrist. The pain is most obvious when the finger is stretched out. I haven´t climbed since. What can this be and what would you recommend as treatment? Thank you :D
Hi, Go see a fysical therapist specialist in hand problems for a basic diagnose. Difficult to give tips with this information, a therapist need to do some tests to see if something is ruptured or displaced....etc. This problem wil take some (a lot of) time. I recommend for now, rest....at least 6 weeks. When you start climbing again, take it very slow. For now blood flow to your hand is good. Sa little exercises with your hand with a bal or cardio training etc good luck
Thaks for your advise! I will do that. Started using a stress ball a week ago, but now the tendon has started to "pop" and hurt even more.A lesson to my self and all of you climbers out there: Do your warm ups properly. Cheers!

À physiotherapist Seouls be Abel to helt you With advise on supportive taping of the ligament as you start to rehab trading.
