hamstring muscle

Hi doc  I have had a problem with my right hamstring muscles earlier too so that the the really tight muscles at the back of my thighs have caused pain radiating up to my back. Well anyhow now after coming over those problems I end up trying a few hours of this had problem involving a lot of heavy heelhooks with right leg. I felt my right leg naturally exhausted after cranking those few crux moves/hooks over an hour but now it has been a month atleast and I still  cant use right heelhook efficiently when climbing - It hurts like hell on the back of my thigh if I try. And I have avoided right leg hooking since the day it happened but no progress is happening. ( I have carefully stretched the darn muscle every other day) Should I just keep on avoiding this move til I feel better or what do you think..?
Hi This is a muscular strain that is a small rip in the muscle fiber fabric - it usually heals in 8-10  !!  weeks , yes it takes that long, but if you dont continously stretch it during healing it will heal "short" and you will rip it open again- so take some antiinflammatoric  (Voltaren) and stretch and climb but not at your limit. Then it will heal slowly. Best of Luck Björn
