Groin Strain?

My right hip has been giving me some slight trouble since I took an awkward fall about 1 month ago. When it happened I felt no pain. The next day I started having some mild pain on the outside of my leg near my hip when walking. I have had this pain on and off for the past month. Yesterday I went to the climbing gym. I didn't do anything that felt strange, but after I had been home for a while I got up and could barely walk at all on my left leg. I also now have a stinging pain in my inner thigh (groin area), as well as the pain on the outside of my leg by my hip on the left leg. It felt better after a little rest, but it feels weird to walk on and the pains returns shortly after I start walking on it, even after some rest. Any help would be great. thanks, Morgan
well, this sounds serious, go see a doctor :-)
Hi Morgan Not knowing how bad you fell this can be anything from a compression of the cartilage surface in the hip ball-joint to a total or partial rupture of one or more of the small stabelizing muscles of the hip joint. The later will heal with time and stretching the former needs to be looked at asap (if therte is a depression of the joint surface surgery may be nessecary. So see a god sport medicine Dr and try to get an MRI taken. Best of luck Björn
