Dr 8A- I was recently climbing and a small crimp, when there was a pop in my finger... The best way I can describe it is that my finger caved in. I did not let go, but my finger did. It has been hurting the same for the past 2 weeks, and there is some mild discoloration on the back of my knuckles. Is it possible that I need surgery? Would you suggest that I see a specialist? With the description you give it is hard to give any solid advice- it is most likely a rupture of the distal flexor tendon - se a specialist asap as in this case surgery is adviced Bjรถrn
