Dupuytren's contracture

I just realised I got Dupuytren's desease and I know it's common amongst climbers. I wanna know if some people have been able to climb again after the surgery. Do you know tricks to slow the progression? Do you someone who as used the Needle Aponeurotomy or alternative treatments?
Hey stretch, I've had Dupuytren's contracture for about two years now.  My doctors swear up and down that it has absolutely nothing to do with climbing.  Not sure if I believe them.. It seems fairly benign.  I haven't noticed any affect on my climbing.  I've seen a few doctors about it, and they say it is nothing to worry about, and little that can be done apart from surgery.  Apparently there is a pretty common surgery that can be done to get rid of the tissue buildup.  Recovery time is a few weeks.  My doctor told me that aponeurotomy actually isn't a "cure," since it basically just cuts the tissue so that it releases, but the tissue buildup is still there, just cut. I've read that stretching and massage can help to slow the progression, and I've done a lot of this but I don't know if it actually helps.  From what I gather, as long as you can place your hand flat on a table, there is nothing to worry about, but once it becomes painful to open your hand, then you get the surgery. Hope this helps!
Hi Dupytrens contracture is belived to be associated with climbing ! Stretching and cutting back when fattigued will help but it is a slow progressive dissease. Surgical intervention by hand specialist is often succesful but they will recommend yoy to cut back or cease climbing (don't) Björn
I wonder if needle aponeurotomy could push back the surgery but make the surgery harder when you finally get it.
