cluster of pain in lower back after comps - hjäälp!

Hi Dr and everyone else reading this My problem is my lower back. I was competing (comps) and climbing 6 hours straight yesterday. This was from morning to afternoon. Yesterday evening I just felt like a piece of crap all over, totally exhausted and my back felt a bit stiff, more than normall but normally I dont climb that much anyways. So I thought it just got irritated by a long climbing day since my back can do that already due a long driving trip etc.. However this morning I felt a small pain at the right side of my lower back, right next to the spine. it has gotten worst now towards evening so that bending and stretching back really hurts badly. It urst only from the right side described. Also a weird sensation of pressure is what I feel at that spot. The pain comes from a really small area which feels its in spine but seems to be right next to it like some cluster of pain attached into it. I did not feel any sudden pain yesterday when climbing an I still can walk etc though I to move carefully. I think especially when I strecth my back by bending or reaching for something the pain feels as quite horrible.. I dont have any numbness anywhere. "Only" pressure and pain at the spot described. Do you have an opinion like should I carefully strecth, massage my back if it´s just muscles locked or something or could it be possibly some ligaments or joints....?? I just recovered of injury in my wrist and want to take this for sure before I do anything what would risk my climbing and training again :) Thanks for answers/opinions/experiences
Went to the Dr. with the same symptoms. He said it was lower back inflammation. Gave me a shot, some pain pills and told me to rest and use a heat compress on the area. Of course I didn't listen so it took me 4 months to recover when it should take a month or two. It could also be spondylolysis, a common gymnast injury. Rest and maybe get a backbrace is what the experts seem to recommend.
Oh I recognize a bit of myself there... 4months.. geez. Did you do any light climbing, stretching, lets say pilates or similar training during that recovery time? Thank ypu for your answer.
Hi Demo Sory for late reply Have been Railey climbing for a month and avoided the net. This is proably an inflammatory reaction to a small muscular strain- try heat (hot bath, gentle but thourough stretching and combine that with an antiinflammatory drug like Voltaren for 10 days- that should do the trick Good climbing Björn
