climbing after surgery

so, 3 weeks ago I had major surgery (open resection.. lost a 1/4 of my colon, and small part of the small intestine) and I feel great ... no pain, eat normaly, have regular stool etc... :) so, my question is... how do you know when you can slowly start to climb? I did a few easy moves in the gym, but took extra care that my feet dont cut loose and I didnt feel anything out of the ordinary. My plan was to try and climb but nothing overhanging and nothing hard. Any helpfull advices? I asked the surgeon and my doctor about it, but I'm trying to get as much input as I can because I really want do "the comeback" properly and without injuries or hernias :)))
HiAs you say- this is major surgery and any high preassure intraabdominally (in the stomach) will compromise it.  It will take at least 8 more weeks to be really stable ( a full year to heal fully) but climbing on should be possible if you are really carefull not to fall and thus in ground contact or when caught by the harness get a high intraabdominal preassure. As long as you keep that in mind and with pain ( no strong pain)  as your guide you can slowely increase you training load. However I really tink your surgeon should have the best advise having done the surgery and knowing the viatilty of the tissue and the quality of his work. Best of luck! Björn
