ankle injury/ ligament tear

Hey Dr.8a, Last week while trying to do a side dyno, I rolled my ankle and tore ligaments (I don't think it is a complete tear since i don't have to undergo surgery) in my ankle. I am currently casted and will have the cast for 3 weeks, a walk boot for 2 weeks and after a lace up brace. I'm wondering how soon I should start climbing once I stop using the walk boot. I don't know if I'm supposed to be doing any physical therapy for it eventually. Also if you have any exercises or tips to help to get my strength back and how to prevent the injury again, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks, Seth
Hiafter the booth is removed continye to tape the joint and successively start climbing avoiding sideway movem,ments- get a physiotherapist to introduce you to training on a "balance plate" that will get you back on track faster. be careful to avoid high impact or loading on the joint for up to 8 weeks best of luck Björn
