Hello everyone! I'm a guy from Spain, and I will travel to Bournemouth with my girlfriend from 1 to 22 August in order to make an english course. We would like to visit some sport crags. I have heard about Portland and Swanage? It's possible to go from Bournemouth to Swanage without car (any bus, by bike, on foot??)? How are these areas in summer? It will be great to get in touch with someone to climb with. That would be great! Thank you very much!
Yes, by bus, Winspit cliffs and quarries. http://www.transportdirect.info http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Bournemouth+Pier+Arcade,+Pier+Approach,+Bournemouth&daddr=Swanage,+Dorset+BH19+3LF+(The+Square+and+Compass)&geocode=FcrdBQMdOmHj_yENhELO73QGBw%3BFSsPBAMdVurg_yEFZ4WCeFcqLw&hl=en&mra=ls&sll=50.819818,-1.408997&sspn=0.959545,1.969299&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=11
Hi David, Im getting the ferry to La Have on the 9 th then driving to a camp site in the north of Spine near the cost. Going rock climbing up there some were for a couple of days + chilling on the beach and stuff. Then off to a festival. Might travel down to Lagos on the south cost of Portugal. Hopefully going to Rocha De Pena for some more nature and climbing.
Please can you recommend some good spots to climb in the north of Spain for sports climbing? my rope is 60 meters long, thanks?
