Totally new to Australia!

Hello, I'm going to be down under for a year as an exchange student and live in Toowoomba, Queensland. I'm wondering what places to climb there are there, and if I even might have the luck of finding someone to climb with! Finding friends to climb with would be the best scenario as I climb several times a week here in Sweden, and really want to keep it up (I can't return from Australia and not be a better climber than I was before I left, eh?)
I asked a similar questions on Chockstone.org (Victorian climbers forum). Here's the link: http://www.chockstone.org/Forum/Forum.asp?Action=DisplayTopic&ForumID=1&MessageID=50389&Replies=13&PagePos=80&Sort=LastMessage#newpost Frog Buttress is in QL and is supposed to be some pretty good crack climbing. Down south in Vic there's the Arapiles and the Grampians. Tasmania is supposed to have some of the best climbing in the country (look up the Totem Pole). We're doing a 5-day trek in Tasmania to Frenchman's Cap ( http://www.parks.tas.gov.au/recreation/tracknotes/frmans.html ), but not sure if the weather will cooperate enough for us to mess around on the wall. That should at least get you started on your research.
G'day Hampus. I live in Brisbane and the best site you can get on for links to Queensland climbing is www.qurank.com It's dedicated to Queensland climbing and you can find climbing partners, topos and guides to climbing areas. Anyway let me know how you go. Cheers Aaron.
