Totally new to Australia!

Hello, I'm going to be down under for a year as an exchange student and live in Toowoomba, Queensland. I'm wondering what places to climb there are there, and if I even might have the luck of finding someone to climb with! Finding friends to climb with would be the best scenario as I climb several times a week here in Sweden, and really want to keep it up (I can't return from Australia and not be a better climber than I was before I left, eh?)

I asked a similar questions on Chockstone.org (Victorian climbers forum). Down south in Vic there's the Arapiles and the Grampians. Tasmania is supposed to have some of the best climbing in the country (look up the Totem Pole). We're doing a 5-day trek in Tasmania to Frenchman's Cap ( http://www.parks.tas.gov.au/recreation/tracknotes/frmans.html ), but not sure if the weather will cooperate enough for us to mess around on the wall. That should at least get you started on your research.
