| Something Wicked (8b+) | Perfect fall day in the notch with Kurt. Had no expectations. Reminded myself of the top slab to warm up, as well as the slap; the air was super dry and we were in the sun as all the leaves are down now. First go from the ground moved through the crux without a thought in my mind and was at the jug before I knew what had happened. One of my favorite experiences I've had rock climbing. We started from the jug which we could both reach from the ground, but not sure if folks feel like that makes a difference in difficulty. Taking the + until someone shoots it down anyway. |

| Perfect fall day in the notch with Kurt. Had no expectations. | Something Wicked (8b+) | A locals rig that's nestled up in the foot of smugglers notch. I've always felt like the mix of technique, power and endurance required to move through the crux wouldn't suit me but after 5 days of working it on a TR solo I managed to send it 2nd go from the ground with an amazing crew of people. Aaron, Troy, Austin and Kyle, this was such a fun day. A true hidden gem of the northeast and a great addition to the vt climbing scene. thank you PK. First 5.14 Wohooo! |

I've always felt like the mix of technique, power and endurance required to move through the crux wouldn't suit me but after 5 days of working it on a TR solo I managed to send it 2nd go from the ground with an amazing crew of people. I opted to build nests then punch it between cruxes. Fucking rad exit crux. Maybe v7? Punting on the last windmill move would send you cartwheeling. Punter and the dog! |
