Barnacle Scars (8a) | Awesome new direct finish to Keel Haul. Exciting headwall, with itty bitty gear just where you need it. Fun day with Amity, Connor, and Taylor. |

Bologna pony (7b+) | Bailed down from our camel gully perch with dark clouds swirling over the big D. So we came back to this thing after flailing on it two years ago. *Not your conventional send* After sending p1 and p2, I made it one bolt from the top on p3. Pulling the final move a hold broke on me so I took a winger... I got back on and did it from the last no hands stance. I'll take my alpine *. This things awesome but too many good climbs to come back to! |

Bologna pony (7b+) | Three stout and stellar pitches at 11,000 feet: 12a, 11d, 12c. The crux pitch is fully bolted but the whole package is definitely a trad route. Thankfully, threatening storms never materialized. Day one I fell on all three pitches, day two I sent them all on lead. |

Sarchasm (8c+) | Big thanks to Adam, Charlie, Scott and Tiffany for hiking up there so I could put this thing together and of course Katherine for being so supportive. Huge respect to the 3 prior ascents Tommy, Beth, and Jonathan! So psyched to complete this life goal. Over 80 miles of hiking this season to climb this masterpiece of a line at over 12,000ft above sea level. The climb itself without the hike, elevation or crazy weather is in my opinion harder than Grand Ol Opry. This is because I broke some holds off. Sorry everybody... Don't place all the blame on me, it is the nature of highly weathered alpine rock. As for the grade....Let's just say that I think I can climb almost anything now and it's good to train with sand bags on ;) Having done some supposed 8c+ climbs in the red I can say this is way harder now that it is cleaned up. Could be 9a? Someone hike up there and tell me or I will be prone to sandbagging. |
